CATALONIA HOTELS & RESORTS FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN SPAIN

For the second consecutive year, donations raised in the virtual Catalonia 5K Run for Love organized by Catalonia Hotels & Resorts will be donated to Save the Children in Spain, in particular to the IMPULSA program, a holistic project that supports the most vulnerable Spanish children by providing comprehensive care to their families, communities and neighborhoods. 

We know that raising a child is a source of joy, but it also involves an economic challenge.

The arrival of children in the home increases existing expenses and adds new ones that, in turn, evolve with the stages of growth: a crib, a stroller, diapers, food, school supplies, clothes, transportation, a cell phone, medicine, therapies... In this context, support for families with the greatest difficulties is so necessary, so that all children, regardless of their starting conditions, can have access to education, leisure, food, attention and all the care they need.
With the financial contributions of runners, donors and sponsors to the challenge posed in the Catalonia 5k Run for Love, we will help to reinforce the lines of intervention and main activities of IMPULSA throughout the territory:

•    Educational reinforcement in more than 80 centers in Spain and 5 of our own centers 
•    Quality leisure and free time activities: school year and summer
•    Cash transfers for basic necessities
•    Psychological and psychotherapeutic care 
•    Social and labor market integration and digital literacy
•    Protection protocols and training in centers: Safe environments
