Catalonia Hotels & Resorts for the most vulnerable children in Spain

For the first year, funds raised through Catalonia Hotels Europa's virtual 5K race will be donated to the international organization Save the Children in Spain, specifically to the Impulsa program, a holistic project that supports the most vulnerable children in Spain. 

With over 100 years of history, Save the Children is the leading independent international organization for children's rights. Our mission is to drive significant changes in how the world treats children, in order to generate immediate and lasting changes in their lives. With our size and presence worldwide, we respond swiftly to crises that endanger them. With our political influence, we help change the laws and policies that affect them most, from regional parliaments to international bodies.

In Spain, through our Impulsa program, we support over 5,000 children, families, communities, and neighborhoods in 20 municipalities across Catalonia, Madrid, the Valencian Community, the Basque Country, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Melilla.

With children at the core of our intervention, we support families by designing, implementing, and scaling comprehensive interventions aimed at reducing child poverty. The Impulsa program is designed to address sustainable development challenges in Spain related to education, economic precariousness, health, nutrition, protection and housing.

With the contribution of Catalonia Hotels & Resorts' key stakeholders, we will help strengthen Impulsa´s key intervention and activities throughout the territory:

•    Educational reinforcement in over 80 centers in Spain 

•    Quality leisure and recreational activities: school year and summer

•    Cash transfers for essential items

•    Psychological and psychotherapeutic care

•    Socio-labor integration and digitalization skills

•    Protection protocols and training in centers: Safe environments
